I am a Linux Enthusiast, like playing around with any electronic gadget, its software/hardware, I don’t care if I am able to fix it, but I do like to risk it to learn something out of it all the time. In my free time I keep installing some or the other stuff on my Phone or Vagrant box.

Configuration Management caught my attention since college days. As a student I was introduced to Cloud Computing by a few mentors at Peepaal and Linux System Administration being one of my favorite subjects landed me to DevOps. While I got to know the term only after my Internship, I eventually learned a lot about it with personal experiences. Although I used Chef, Juju, Jenkins, Nagios, NewRelic for my personal learning purpose rather than using them on a live project, I think it helped me a lot as I could figure out solutions to certain problems all by myself. Shell/Ruby scripting came for my rescue when stuck. Thanks to Virtualization!! No great loss after the experiments .. :)

For quite some time during Graduation I worked in Customer Support env and was a pretty challenging work I did then. I think it was a nice way to build in Problem solving, Communication, Interpersonal skills. I also got an opportunity to work as a Technical Support person and this was again a new and different experience for me, for making a non-technical person, something technical in a layman's language was indeed tough and I am glad I could do it.

I like being social, attending meetups, organizing get-together, meeting new people, building strong relationships and sharing knowledge with each other. If you have something interesting to share, ping me at roshan4074@gmail.com

Many a times i share most of my work be it technical or non-technical on my Personal Blog -> http://roshannagekar.blogspot.in
